Nkiru Nwadioke, is a Program Management Specialist with over 15 years’ management experience covering a broad range of development and humanitarian programs. Her experience spans management of complex human development programs. These include health, WASH, protection, nutrition and education programs. Others include NCD, HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, health system strengthening, FP, nutrition and MCH programs. Nkiru also had a stint in gender & women’s rights, private sector engagement, democracy and governance programs in Nigeria.
Before joining AHNi, Nkiru was the Country Lead for Global Health Advocacy Incubators’ (GHAI) cardiovascular health program (CVH) in Nigeria. Before then, she was Director of Special projects in FHI 360 Nigeria; a position she earned following 10 years of progressive experience in the organization. Her remarkable achievement include growth and diversification of the country program beyond traditional donors and sectors. She is also well known for her exceptional impact-based leadership skills, using total quality leadership and accountability approaches.
She started her development career in the justice delivery sector where she was head of reproductive rights and legal services of the WomenAid Collective. In this role, she redressed several cases of gross violation of women’s rights. Her development career dovetailed into public health where she delved into broad-based multi-sectoral programming as elucidated above. In recognition of her leadership qualities, she earned the opportunity to serve on the Boards of various organizations, including AHNi.
